Toledo’s Mike Schell is MTS Corporate Driver of the Month for April!

April_13.jpg_thumbCongratulations go out to Mike Schell, who was selected as the Corporate Driver of the Month for Martin Transportation Systems.

Mike has been a driver for Toledo terminal since 1996.  His driver file is “clean”.   No CSA points.  No accidents.  No tickets.   He gets his fuel bonus every month, and assists dispatch by working as the back-up President’s Road Team driver.

Mike was selected from a list of Driver of the Month candidates provided by each terminal.   For winning Corporate Driver of the Month, Mike will receive a certificate, Driver of the Month hat, and a custom prize selected by VP of Operations Brett McGovern.

Grand Prairie’s Shannon Mays is MTS Corporate Driver of the Month for May!

Congratulations go out to Shannon Mays, who was selected as the May Corporate Driver of the Month for Martin Transportation Systems, Inc.

Shannon has been with MTS for nearly 8 months.   Per Terminal Manager Scott Knight, “He is the type of driver you want to reach out and shake his hand every time you see him.  He does a great job delivering our freight on time and keeps the customers very happy.  Shannon is a great asset to the Grand Prairie operation and an outstanding representative for MTS.”

Lansing’s Dan Cole is MTS Corporate Driver of the Month for June!

Congratulations go out to Dan Cole, who was selected as the June Corporate Driver of the Month for Martin Transportation Systems, Inc.

June_13_thumbDan has been with MTS for 13 years, and he has nothing in his “permanent file” except clean DOT inspections and flawless on-road observations.   Per his dispatcher and the safety department, Dan is a no-nonsense pro who strives to do everything “by the book.”   “Always on time, never calls off, customers like him, does a great job with PeopleNet” according to dispatcher Tom O’Dell.

Dan was selected from a list of Driver of the Month candidates provided by each terminal.   For winning Corporate Driver of the Month, Dan will receive a certificate, Driver of the Month hat, and a custom inscribed Buck Knife with his name and the MTS logo.  All Corporate Driver of the Month winners are also in the running to be MTS Driver of the Year.

Toledo’s Harden James Jr. is MTS Corporate Driver of the Month for July!

Congratulations go out to Toledo Terminal driver Harden James Jr., who was selected as the July Corporate Driver of the Month for Martin Transportation Systems.

July_13_thumbHarden has been with MTS for more than 10 years.   During that time he has proven himself to be a premier example of a professional truck driver, year-in and year-out.   Per TM John Blackwell, Harden is “a driver you can always count on to get it done right, safely, and on time.   Harden always gets his performance bonus, he helps out with new drivers, works weekends when needed.   He will come in early or stay late to help with loads that are uncovered.”

Gary Gross is MTS Corporate Driver of the Month for August!

Congratulations go out to Spring Hill Terminal driver Gary Gross, who was selected as the August Corporate Driver of the Month for Martin Transportation Systems.

August_13_thumbGary shows a recent hire date of 2010, but he’s no newcomer to MTS.  He was previously a driver out of our Morristown terminal from 1999 until we closed that location in 2008.   Throughout both stints at MTS, Gary has been a top-notch professional driver, handling his loads and equipment in a trouble-free manner week-in and week-out with very little supervision.

Gary was selected from a list of Driver of the Month candidates provided by each terminal.   For winning Corporate Driver of the Month, Harden will receive a certificate, Driver of the Month hat, and a custom inscribed Buck Knife with his name and the MTS logo.  All Corporate Driver of the Month winners are also in the running to be MTS Driver of the Year.

Indy driver James Harris is September Corporate Driver of the Month!

Congratulations go out to Indy Terminal driver James Harris, who was selected as the September Corporate Driver of the Month for Martin Transportation Systems.

September_13_thumbPer Indy Safety Manager Greg Bullman, James was a solid choice for DOM.   “James is very pleasant to work with – he never complains.  Whenever he is in doubt about a safety issue, he will always come see me.  I rarely see him on SpeedGauge, and never on the HOS reports.    He always does a thorough pre-/post-trip inspection. If he finds a problem, he follows up with it.”

Lazaro Rodriquez honored as MTS Corporate Driver of the month for October 2013

Martin Transportation Systems wishes to congratulate Lazaro Rodriquez from our Byron Center terminal as the corporate driver of the month for October. Lazaro who is a seasoned driver began working for MTS in 2005.

Lazaro is very proud of the company he works for and when presented with the news he was very excited, showing his pride by raising his finger in a #1 fashion.

Rodriquez was selected from a list of Driver of the Month candidates provided by each terminal.   For winning Corporate Driver of the Month, Rodriquez will receive a certificate, Driver of the Month hat, and a custom inscribed Buck Knife with his name and the MTS logo.  All Corporate Driver of the Month winners are also in the running to be MTS Driver of the Year.
